Privacy policy
Effective October 11, 2026.
Front Row (frontrowleagues.com) runs free fantasy leagues for shows, races, and other events. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what it takes to run your leagues and keep the site working, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address. If you sign in with Google or Discord, we also receive your name and profile picture from that account. If you use an emailed sign-in link, we only get your email.
- Your profile. Your display name, handle, profile picture, and time zone (read from your browser so deadlines show in your local time).
- Your play. The leagues you create or join, your drafts, picks, brackets, and scores, how far you've watched (so the spoiler shield knows what to hide), your friends and blocks, and any invitations you send, including the email address you invite.
- League pots. If a commissioner records buy-ins or settlements, we store those amounts. Front Row never holds money or processes payments. Settlement links open Venmo or PayPal directly, and we don't receive your payment details.
- Messages to us. What you send through the contact form (your name if given, your email, and the message) and your email if you sign up for launch updates.
- Email records. Your email preferences, plus delivery records such as whether a message was delivered, bounced, or unsubscribed.
- Usage and device data. Pages you visit, buttons you tap, your browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, errors, and page performance. We also record session replays, a reconstruction of how a page was used, to find bugs: text you type into fields is masked, and replays are deleted after 30 days. When you're signed in, this data is linked to your account ID, email, display name, and handle.
- Technical data. Your IP address, used briefly to rate-limit the contact form and kept in our hosting providers' standard request logs.
Information from Google and Discord
When you sign in with Google or Discord, we request only your basic profile: name, email address, and profile picture. We use it only to create your account, sign you in, and show your name and picture to people in your leagues. We don't access your contacts, files, calendar, or messages.
We don't use information from Google or Discord for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't transfer it to anyone except the service providers listed below who help us run Front Row. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How we use it
- To run your leagues: scoring, standings, the spoiler shield, invitations, and friends.
- To email you: sign-in links, deadline reminders, and results you've opted into, plus occasional announcements. You can turn gameplay and announcement emails off at any time.
- To support you: answering messages and fixing problems with your account or league.
- To improve Front Row: understanding which features get used and finding bugs.
- To keep it safe: preventing spam, abuse, and cheating.
Who can see your information
Other members of a league can see your display name, handle, profile picture, and your picks and scores in that league. Picks stay hidden until they lock, and standings follow each member's spoiler shield. People can find your profile by searching your exact handle to send a friend request, unless you've blocked them.
If you connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to Front Row, it gets read-only access to your leagues as you, plus the ability to propose changes you approve or decline in the app. Nothing changes until you approve it. What that assistant's provider does with the information is covered by its own privacy policy, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Service providers
We use a small set of providers to run Front Row. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service. They're based in the United States, so your data is stored and processed there.
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Cloudflare: our API and rate limiting.
- Resend: sending and receiving email.
- PostHog: product analytics, error tracking, session replays, and surveys.
- Google and Discord: sign-in, if you choose them.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your personal information, we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we don't show ads. If Front Row is ever transferred to a new owner, this policy would still apply to the data collected under it, and we'd tell you before anything changed. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
We store your sign-in session and a few settings in your browser, like light or dark mode and unsaved draft picks. PostHog stores an identifier so we can tell visits apart. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you block browser storage, you won't be able to stay signed in.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and league history while your account exists, because standings and past seasons depend on it. Session replays are deleted after 30 days. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information, except where we need to keep a record for legal or security reasons. Copies in backups age out on our providers' schedules.
Your choices
- See, correct, or delete your data: you can edit your profile at any time. To get a copy of your data or delete your account, email us and we'll take care of it within 30 days.
- Email: change what we send on your email preferences page, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Sign-in access: you can remove Front Row's access from your Google or Discord account settings at any time.
- Leave or delete leagues: you can leave a league, and commissioners can delete theirs.
Children
Front Row isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is controlled by database rules that only let you see what you're allowed to see, and we don't use passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll tell you.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll also let you know by email or on the site before it takes effect.
